The price of the Canon EOS 5D has dropped below $2,000 on Amazon according to James Williams on FriendFeed. The 5D is one of the finest digital SLR cameras on the market — its ability to produce amazing photos has built up quite a following for the gadget, especially on photo sharing sites such as Flickr.
Reviews of the camera are so favorable that I had no problem buying one back in January knowing full well that Canon was working on a replacement model. And if the photos were not enough to convince one of the 5D’s merits, consider the fact that a camera that debuted in 2005 is still selling for close to $2,000.
